Documents submitted for proofreading
When you submit your writing at http://proofreadbot.com the service stores your writing for 24 hours in the Proofread Bot database. In case, you are logged in, you can delete the document right away manually at https://proofreadbot.com/user. If you are submitting the document as an anonymous user, you cannot delete the document manually, and you have to wait for 24 hours to have the document automatically deleted. If you submit your document through a client application such as Google Docs, Proofread Bot does not store the document in a database.
Cookies
We also use cookies that our website's server transfers to your computer. This information can be used to track your session on our website. Cookies may also be used to customize our website content for you as an individual. If you are using one of the common Internet web browsers, you can set up your browser to either let you know when you receive a cookie or to deny cookie access to your computer.
We may also collect any data that you provide us by posting it at our website or by e-mail. You can always choose not to provide us with information. However, if you do withhold information, we may deny you access to some or all of our website's services and features.
Minors

Payments are managed by a third party called Clickbank.com . Clickbank processes all transactions, such as credit card, debit card, checks, money orders, and/or third party online payment services. We will collect information related to the transaction as part of the course of doing business with you, including your billing address, telephone number, and other information related to the transaction. At the end of each transaction, Clickbank.com notifies our servers of your transaction, providing us with your

We do not process or store any banking card information on our servers!

Proofread Bot is committed to protecting the security of your Information and takes reasonable precautions to protect it. However, Internet data transmissions, whether wired or wireless, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and as a result, we cannot ensure the security of Information you transmit to us, including Personal Data and User Content; accordingly, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk. For example, by the time your data reaches our servers, it already passed through the servers of internet providers often subject to government and military surveillance.
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data in transit. This is commonly referred to as transport layer security (“TLS”) or secure socket layer (“SSL”) technology. Nota bene, just becasue a solution has "secure" in it's name, it does not mean military or government cannot infiltrate the solution.

The security of the data stored locally in any of our Software installed on your computing device requires that you make use of the security features of your device. Account Deletion
You can delete your account anytime by going to https://proofreadbot.com/user, clicking on edit, and then the delete button at the bottom of the edit form. All your personal data, and submitted writings will be removed immediately from the Proofread Bot database.
How long is Personal Data retained?
You can remove your Personal Data at any time by deleting your account as described above. However, we may keep some of your Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary for our legitimate business interests, including fraud detection and prevention and to comply with our legal obligations including tax, legal reporting, and auditing obligations.
